Openreach confidently removes MBORC from 23:59 7 May 2020
Openreach first made an MBORC (Matters beyond our Reasonable Control) declaration on the 24th March 2020 at 14:50hrs. The declaration was made because of the impact of COVID-19.
Openreach stated “Due to the effects of extensive Goverment restrictions across the UK, Openreach’s day-to-day operational activities are seriously impacted. Openreach is therefore declaring MBORC for provision, repair, missed appointments and the availability of appointments, on a national basis…”
Openreach provided a further update confirming that they are removing the declaration of MBORC with effect from 23:59hrs on the 7th May 2020.
Openreach said “We’ve been working hard to progress provision work, and we have had success delivering in the network, without visiting premises. This now gives us the confidence to remove MBORC as follows, with effect from 23:59hrs 7 May 2020.”
